All real estate consumers are “Customers” under idaho law unless a representation agreement is signed. As a Customer, your brokerage will not act as your Agent and is not required to promote your best interests or keep your bargaining information confidential.
But… good news – you may become a Client! And doing so is as easy as signing a representation agreement. Once this agreement has been signed, in addition to the standard level of Customer Service – you will also have the following;
∙ Perform the terms of your agency agreement with skill and care,
∙ Promote your best interest in good faith, honesty, and fair dealings,
∙ Maintain the confidentiality of some client information, including bargaining information, even after the representation has ended.
